Summary
Relive the first journey into the dystopian future of 2010. The surviving members of the X-Men, held prisoner like all mutants in a concentration camp guarded by the mutant-hunting robots called Sentinels, hatch a plan to change history by telepathically sending the consciousness of Kate (nee Kitty) Pryde 30 years back in time to temporarily occupy her teenage self and convince the X-Men of 1980 to prevent the sequence of events which led to the grim future from which Kate psychically traveled back. The X-Men's efforts to prevent the pivotal event - the assassination of anti-mutant senator Robert Kelly - bring them into conflict with Kelly's would-be assassins, the new Brotherhood of Evil Mutants led by the shape-shifter Mystique. Meanwhile, the X-Men of 2010 attempt to defeat the Sentinels by invading and destroying their control center
