Summary
Set against the grim backdrop of depression America, this film joyously celebrates the life of Woody Guthrie, America's great folk balladeer and poet. In 1936 he leaves Texas and heads to California looking for work. He meets hobos, migrant workers and people down on their luck, and begins his career as a folk singer
