Summary
Moses, as he is called by most people, is really named Tokumisa Nzambe po Mose yamoyindo abotami namboka ya Bakoko. He lives in an orphanage run by a malicious political stooge, Dieudonne Ngoulmoumako, where he is terrorized by two fellow orphans--the twins Songi-Songi and Tala-Tala. Moses seeks revenge on the twins and escapes the orphange with them. They later form a gang that survives on petty theft in the port town Point Noire. Moses then suffers a tragic journey through the underworld of Point Noire and politically repressive wold of Congo-Brazzaville in the 1970s and 1980s
