Summary

Much of the film examines Thompson's political arrest in Aspen, Colorado, the 25th anniversary celebration of his 1971 book "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and obstacles involved with turning this book into a film. Filmed during the 1990s, Ewing captures Thompson's personality through numerous dialogues. Various locations are used: the Viper Club in New York City, Owl Farm, the Lotos Club and the Rolling Stone offices
