Summary
Sixth-grade friends Lyla and Jamie, both new to their school, stand up for each other when a clique of popular girls bullies them onlineLyla finds a great friend in Jamie on her first day of school. Then she makes the cheerleading squad, and suddenly the most popular clique of girls in her grade invites her to join them. Before she knows it, she's left Jamie behind. It's one thing to be popular and to belong to the group everyone else wishes they belonged to, but Lyla knows bullying when she sees it--and when she witnesses her new "friends" viciously teasing Jamie and other kids on Facebook, Lyla decides she wants nothing to do with them. The only problem is, no one dumps these girls--and now they're out for revenge. Patricia Polacco has taken up the cause against bullies ever since Thank You, Mr. Falker, and her passion shines through in this powerful story of a girl who finds the courage to stand up for a friend
