Runtime

Summary

Yūji and Mamoru are good friends, who work at the same factory. Mamoru's odd hobby is trying to turn a dangerous saltwater jellyfish into a freshwater one. Mamoru inexplicably murders his boss and wife. Unable to spend a lifetime in jail, Mamoru commits suicide, but not before giving over his jellyfish and the experiment to Yūji. Mamoru's father seeks out Yūji to try and make some sense of what happened. Angry at his friend's incarceration and rejection before his death, Yūji unknowingly releases the mutated and very poisonous (now freshwater) jellyfish into the canals of Tokyo. What no one realizes is that a strange bond has formed between the jellyfish and its caretaker
